Tatum Annual Fellowship. The fellowship supports graduate students and advanced undergraduates in architectural history and related fields by underwriting membership, travel, and lodging expenses associated with attending the Society’s Annual International Conference. This year’s conference will be held in Mexico City.

The fellowship, which is open to students enrolled in architectural history and theory programs at colleges and universities in the Greater Philadelphia region, has been awarded by the chapter since 2016. (https://philachaptersah.org/index.php/about/)

After reviewing a very strong pool of applications, the Tatum Fellowship Committee selected Jenna Mullender, a candidate in the Master’s program in Historic Preservation at the University of Pennsylvania, as this year’s recipient. The committee congratulates Jenna on this well-deserved recognition.

In her words, “Jenna is interested in how preservation research can uncover histories of resistance embedded in the built environment, previously exploring this topic through interconnected housing and market marronage in colonial Jamaica.” Jenna will share her research with the SAH membership this fall. We look forward to hearing more about her work.

Jenna Mullener, the 2026 George B.
